How to play Truck Typing Game
Truck Typing Game (also called Off-Road Typing Rally) turns typing practice into a 3D off-road race. The words are painted on the dirt trail in front of a 6×6 military truck and repeated in the centre of the screen. Every correct key pushes the truck forward; when you stop typing, it brakes and stops. This guide explains everything you need to know to finish faster and win the gold medal.
Start a race in 4 steps
- Pick a terrain. Green Valley has rolling grass hills, Desert Canyon has dunes and jumps, Sunset Ridge has the toughest climbs.
- Pick the weather. Clear gives full grip, Storm brings rain, thunder and slippery mud, Night leaves you with only the headlights.
- Pick the difficulty. Easy uses short common words, Medium longer words and simple sentences, Hard adds capitals, punctuation and numbers.
- Press START ENGINE (or Enter). After the 3-2-1 countdown, start typing the first word.

Reading the screen
- Centre typing line – the word you are typing sits in the middle. Typed letters turn green, the next key is white and underlined, and the rest of the word is yellow. Finished words slide out to the left and upcoming words wait on the right.
- Words on the road – the same words are painted on the trail, so you can see how far the truck will drive.
- Speedometer and gear (bottom right), nitro bar next to it, time, live WPM, accuracy and errors (top right).
- Minimap (top left) – tap it to open the full route map. The race keeps going while it is open.
- Pace notes (top centre) – warnings such as SHARP RIGHT or STEEP DESCENT 27%.
Rules: speed, mistakes and nitro
Your typing is the throttle. The truck covers about 2.5 metres of trail for every correct key. Typing at 25 WPM gives a gentle crawl of around 30 km/h, 60 WPM about 55 km/h and 100 WPM close to 70 km/h, depending on the hills.
Mistakes cost power, not progress. A wrong key does not move the cursor. The letter turns red, the engine misfires and the truck loses most of its power for about half a second. Type the correct letter to carry on – there is no need for backspace.
Nitro. Every word typed without a mistake adds 10% to the nitro bar and every checkpoint adds 15%. When it is full, press Enter: for a few seconds each key is worth extra distance and the truck surges forward.
Safe driving is automatic. The truck steers itself along the trail and slows down for blind crests, steep descents and river fords, so you can keep your eyes on the words.
Medals and results
When you cross the finish line you get your race time, average WPM (correct characters ÷ 5 per minute), accuracy, top speed, number of words and best streak. The medal times are based on typing speed: gold needs roughly 55 WPM, silver about 38 WPM and bronze about 24 WPM over the whole route. Your best time for each map is saved in your browser.
Tips to finish faster
- Accuracy first. One mistake costs about as much time as several correct keys. A steady 97–100% beats bursts with errors.
- Keep a rhythm. The truck stops when you stop. Even, steady typing gives the smoothest and fastest drive.
- Read ahead. Glance at the next word on the right while you finish the current one.
- Save nitro for long straights and use it after a checkpoint, when the bar refills quickly.
- Lower the graphics quality in the menu if the game feels slow – Low turns off grass and post-processing.
